Staci M. Tomita utilizes exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail to provide quality service to her clients.


Ms. Tomita represents private equity funds, financial institutions, developers/owners, and corporations in a wide range of matters, including partnership and joint venture disputes, real property disputes, lender liability disputes, loan workouts, and matters involving fraud, breach of contract, and trade secrets. 


Before joining Shumener, Odson & Oh LLP, Ms. Tomita litigated commercial disputes at DLA Piper LLP (US).  She also has experience advocating for the educational rights of underprivileged youth and assisting individuals in poverty obtain governmental benefits.


Ms. Tomita earned her J.D. from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law and her B.A. from the University of California at Berkeley, with High Distinction (magna cum laude) and membership in Phi Betta Kappa.


Ms. Tomita is President-Elect of the Japanese American Bar Association (“JABA”), Co-Chair of JABA’s Community Concerns Committee, and a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association Litigation Executive Committee.
