The U.S. News & World Report named Shumener, Odson & Oh LLP one of the Best Law Firms in California for 2015.Though launched in February 2012, Shumener & Odson & Oh LLP has already achieved recognition as one of the best law firms in California. Upon opening its doors Robert J. Odson said “Betty, Henry and I . . . for many years have harbored the ambition of some day having our own law firm.” Less than two years later that ambition has paid dividends for the attorneys at Shumener, Odson & Oh LLP and their clients because the attorneys have been able to take on more cases without the burdens and bureaucracy present at big firms and deliver legal services at reasonable rate without sacrificing quality.
Betty M. Shumener named Lawyer of the Year 2013 as published in Best Lawyers. Betty Shumener began her career more than 25 years ago at Paul Hastings. After spending over 20 years at large nationally recognized firms, Betty and her two long time colleagues Robert J. Odson and Henry H. Oh launched Shumener, Odson & Oh LLP. When asked what it meant to be named Lawyer of the Year, Betty modestly replied: “It is an achievement for the entire firm, we are all in the ‘trenches’ together day in and day out and I really could not do it without the other attorneys; I not only consider them colleagues and friends but I look at them as family.”
On February 1, 2012, Betty M. Shumener, Robert J. Odson and Henry H. Oh launched a commercial
litigation boutique firm with four of their associates from their former firm.
Prior to forming Shumener, Odson & Oh LLP, Betty, Rob and Henry worked together for nearly two decades at some of the largest national firms. With their four associates, the attorneys at Shumener, Odson & Oh LLP have worked their entire careers as attorneys together. Such consistency and lack of turnover is seldom heard of in the legal field but, after working together and “fighting the fight” together for their clients, these attorneys are dedicated to each other and to delivering the highest quality of legal services for their clients.
